Letter from the State House

From State HouseHedJanuary 2017

Dear Friends,
Happy New Year!
I hope you had an enjoyable New Year’s Eve with family and friends.  This month marks the 190th Biennium of our Commonwealth’s Great and General Court!  The House of Representatives held its inaugural ceremonies on Wednesday, January 4th. My wife and children made the trip to the State House with me.  It was an honor to be sworn-in as your State Representative! It is so very humbling to have the trust of you, my friends and neighbors to represent our district at the State House.

I spoke with many of the Representatives I’ve come to know and we’re once again prepared to face the many challenges ahead.  There are a number of issues that the legislature will face this year like tackling our budget without raising taxes, addressing recreational marijuana and fixing our roads and bridges.

During the election, I spoke with business owners, parents, educators, senior citizens, veterans and the list goes on.  They shared their concerns about jobs, our schools and economic development in Western MA. There is no doubt that there is much to be done to address all of those issues but I’m looking forward to the challenge.  Once again, I’ll continue to put People Before Politics!

Thank you for allowing me to proudly serve as your full-time Representative.  Please visit my office to discuss any concerns. I’m always available!
Sincerely,

NickSignature

Nicholas Boldyga, Representative
Southwick Town Hall, 454 College Highway, 569-3137 ext.103
